Seems Goons find killing carrier pilots that want join them very funny. So pleased with themselves it goes onto youtube so they can poke more fun at him and demonstrate just how clever they are. So as a general warning to people thinking it might be fun in Goons, check out the level of fun the carrier pilot is having. His mistake he thought he would like to join Goons. Goons gank carrier Thats one less carrier pilot that will be joining goons and when he tells his equally misguided friends who may have been considering joining them hopefully they will think twice. Anyone thinking this looks like fun and wants to join Goons, you get what you deserve. Perhaps you have warnings on your own forums telling people about the fact you are likely to be scammed and killed trying to join Goons, but its probably best it gets mentioned here regularly so as many people as possible know this happens. The point of your post is not so clear, its just Goon drivel. I expect he imagined the fact he had proved himself a friend of Goons in the past was insurance against these sort of lame tactics. It was not obviously. The real lesson is there on the video. Goons are lame and can turn on you at any point however much you want to be a Goon or think you are a Goon. I know a certain mentality thinks Goons are a good idea and what was done on this video was great. And that is fine, while there is Goons as an organisation these sorts of people have somewhere to go and thankfully dont find themselves trying to join other corps and alliances. I am not anti goons in any sense, they provide a useful service to the rest of Eve, keeping all these lamers in one place. The point is Goons are pretty low in their tactics and methods in game. You dont have to like it, but its best you find out what you are dealing with first. The carrier pilot being ganked by the Goons he imagined were going to recruit him in the video clearly did not know the score. Nobody puts themselves forward for being scammed, ransomed and ganked by people he only wanted to join to assist in the war. Some Goons have tried to excuse this on the basis if the carrier pilot had done more research he would have realised what asshats they all were. The shifting sands of your argument is of no real interest to me after you started talking about "only following orders". I've heard that line before. The topic is: Goons routinely scam, ransom and kill players on the basis they are going to recruit them. Sometimes there is a line which probably should not be crossed. That is what Goons are prepared to do to people actually willing to help them.
